CYPS - Schools

North Yorkshire is the largest county in England with over 390 Schools spread across the county. This covers a large area including Scarborough, Whitby, Harrogate, Ripon, Skipton and Selby. Within North Yorkshire there is the opportunity to work in several different settings, including nurseries, primary schools, secondary schools, special schools and outdoor education.

There are many exciting and varied roles in schools, some of these include;

  • Instructors: Sports, Music and Languages.
  • After School Clubs: Play Workers, Play Leaders, Assistants, Co-ordinators.
  • Finance & Administration: Office Managers, Bursars, Business Managers and Admin Officers.
  • Technicians: Science and ICT
  • Pastoral: Learning Mentors, Cover supervisors and Teaching Assistants.
  • Catering: Kitchen Assistants, Cooks, Before and After School Club Cooks.
  • Teaching: Nursery Teacher, Primary or Secondary Teacher or Teaching in a Specialist School.

There are different entry levels for these roles and lots of prospects to progress your career to new and challenging roles. There are opportunities to work with children of all ages and abilities, to help develop their skills and abilities and help them progress in life.
