Career: Local Authority Early Years and Childcare Manager

Function:

To be the Strategic Lead for the development of early years and childcare service across the Local Authority area. As Local Authority lead you will be required to implement directives from Central Government for example, childcare sufficiency, flexible entitlement of funded provision and support the development of Children’s centres. You will also have the professional overview of all development and support work for early years and childcare providers across the Local Authority area.

Entry Requirements:

You must be minimum degree level qualified with preferably a postgraduate qualification in a relevant field.

Training Options:

Ongoing attendance at government and Local Authority conferences, seminars and working groups.
